2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the end of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Non-profit organisation Cambodian Living Arts will be staging a festival, Arts4peace, which will feature the national premiere of the groundbreaking work Bangsokol: A Requiem for Cambodia (shown in Paris in May 2018). This exceptional piece brings together different art forms, different generations and Cambodians at home and abroad. Wandering Souls is a documentary that follows the making of Bangsokol.

Following a screening of Wandering Souls, Executive Producer of Bangsokol, Prim Phloeun will be in conversation about the impact of the Bangsokol project, and particularly the role of music in terms of healing and transformation. He will also touch on other work CLA does in relation to arts, music and transformation, including CLA Founder, Arn Chorn Pond's role as a Music Rights Champion for IMC (International Music Council).

You can watch the trailer for the documentary here.

The screening of the film will then be followed by a 40 minute conversation.

A Cambodian Living Arts event, in collaboration with the International Music Council and the World Forum on Music.
